At Hershy Way Ltd, we build quality and comfort into every product. That is why we believe that our satisfied customers have allowed us to grow from a small, backyard family business to our present-day manufacturing facility. While still family owned and operated, we are equally pleased to provide employment to our friends and neighbors as well! The Hershy Way story began in 1988 when we only manufactured cattle feeders. Looking for a new product line to complement the seasonality of our feeders, we were pleased to become one of the areas first manufacturers of picnic tables. While we quickly recognized that are tables were our best advertisement, we display them along the roadway so that passerby could see their inherent quality of construction and functionality. And of course our limited storage space also forced us to stack the tables along our driveway. Our first mode of delivery – a pick up truck and a trailer stacked high with picnic tables – granted us the opportunity to personally deliver many of our tables and ensure complete customer satisfaction. While today’s delivery methods may have changed, we remain committed to fully satisfying the needs of our customers – our most important and valued asset! As the demand for our products grew so did the need for even more production space. In 1993, we added nearly 5,100 square feet to our original shop to accommodate our expanding manufacturing requirements. With a growing need to maximize our production capabilities, we added an additional 9,500 square feet of manufacturing and warehousing space in 2001. This added space allowed us to manufacture and warehouse our products during the winter months and offer immediate spring delivery. In 2005, our nearly 30,000 square feet of operations included molders and automated drilling machines as well as other state-of-the-art woodworking equipment. Today’s products include a full line of outdoor furniture and a variety of unique lighthouses.
